We are now looking for Commissioning Engineers to our client company Kalmar which is part of Cargotec to work in their customer sites around the world on the delivery phase of Kalmar products. This position is based in Kalmar’s office in Tampere, but it will require travel up to 80% of the work time. In this role, you don't need to have years' of experience but we hope you to have some background for example through summer job.

Job duties

  • Acting as a member or leader of the site/commissioning team
  • Carrying out the commissioning and testing of the container handling machines, component configuring, documenting and problem solving throughout the whole fleet level
  • Independently finding solutions and improvements

We are looking for

We are looking for a Commissioner who has strong teamwork skills but also the ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems. You should also have the desire and ability to learn and develop yourself further to become an expert in the field of commissioning industrial machines.

The candidate we are looking for has:

  • Technical vocational education (electrical or automation) or BSc. degree in Electrical / Automation Engineering
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, PLC and other vehicle control components such as drives and encoders
  • Solid knowledge of vehicle electrics and ability to carry out electrical works (understanding of mechanics and hydraulics is considered as a plus)
  • Some experience working with industrial machinery (knowledge of container handling vehicles is considered as a benefit), can be e.g. thorugh summer job
  • Fluent English skills
  • Ability to travel around the world up to 80% of the work time

It is also seen as a big plus if you have skills in Finnish and/or general understanding of modern IT technology and automation
