About the role
Konecranes IT organization provides services to enable secure, reliable, and productive operations around the clock. The service portfolio is wide-ranging from IT services provided to enable Konecranes business processes, through Helpdesk, all the way to the business intelligence and analytics identifying new business opportunities. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data to Knowledge organization working in collaboration with other Data Engineers and Solution Architects. Your tasks include working closely with databases and in development relating to data discovery, combining, and processing using a suite of data engineering and analytics toolsets.

Job duties
- Design and implement technical proof of concepts and prototypes related to data discovery, combining and processing
- Ensuring successful performance relating to data content
We are looking for
- Fluent English skills
- Suitable educational background (e.g. Computer Science or Software Engineering)
- Prior work experience in similar tasks with data
- Prior work experience with Java or Python programming, testing your own code, and importing it to production
- Understanding of databases (e.g. SQL)
Knowledge of ETL, Microsoft Azure, Big Data Processing, and Data Warehouse design and concepts are seen as an advantage.
