Software Engineer, Pulp & Paper MES, Helsinki

MES is specifically designed for pulp and paper industry to help customers to deliver the best operational results. The comprehensive and modular solution covers all the core MES functionalities across the value chain, from order handling through customer service management. These modules work seamlessly together and can be integrated with ERP systems to help our customers to achieve new levels of operational efficiency.

In this role you will be a key person in our pulp and paper MES delivery projects. You will work as a bridge between the engineering team and the customer. Your tasks include:

  • Customer consultation to interpret their needs and requirements
  • Mapping the requirements to technical solutions
  • Participating in test planning and execution
  • Configuring the application according to the specifications
  • Implementation of customer specific enhancements
  • Providing key user trainings
  • Supporting go-live

Etsimällämme henkilöllä on

You might either have an IT-background or a background from Pulp & Paper industry.

If specialised in IT, we are looking for:

  • Relevant educational background (e.g., B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Information Sciences)
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL and relational databases (for example Oracle)
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English. Finnish and Swedish are an advantage
  • Willingness to work with industrial systems (MES)

Skills in web development, Python, Javascript/Node.js are seen as an advantage.

If specialiced in Pulp & Paper, we are looking for:

  • Relevant educational background (e.g., Process Engineering)
  • Previous experience in pulp and paper production (e.g., summer job in production)
  • Understanding of process, post-processing and logistics
  • Experience in IT projects in industrial setting
  • Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English. Finnish and Swedish are an advantage
